Congratulations for the 2023 dissertation specializing in fearology, by the ethical philosopher Michael B. Eneyo of Nigeria. This is the first in the world fearology doctorate achieved formally in academia. It was accomplished at the University of…

[NOTE: I just found this in my unpublished blog written in late 2016, for some reason it never got published; I'll leave it unedited--as relevant to our times today or not--you can decide]

INTRODUCTION
I am not going to try to explain my Fear Management Theory (FMT) here in this short blog post. I more wanted to just make some noise in all the silence and/or hoopla in the post-Nov. 5 epoch of what in my mind is an event so grand as to…
"So, Nov. 5, comes and goes, Nov. 6 comes and goes; I'm on a media (virtual reality) fast at the moment myself. But, I now have heard from others the election result. What is Bernie going to say now? "
Social media platforms (of which I generally totally avoid) are becoming extremely effective in influencing people's views and behaviors. Levels of fear and uncertainty are manipulated regularly through such platforms and their members, individually…

This interview (FearTalk #27) has some interesting words of wisdom from the Indigenous scholar Four Arrows (Dr. D. T. Jacobs).
A curious talk here on the temple of Love vs. the temple of Hate, call it what you will, as the speaker says in this Tik Tok message, "it is a Cosmic Battle" (in the spirtual-psychic realm) beyond any materialist or cultural ethnic group or…

May you or some one could post a few Trekky quotes, my computer doesn't play linked videos right now, it's old and needs to go eventually)... hey, I did find a few quotes from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" tv series... here's just one (from "Nightmares" episode, n.d.)...
Buffy has encountered the Master Vampire (a horrific looking creature) and Master Vampire says to her: "Fear is a wonderful thing. It's the most powerful force in the world, not love, not hate, fear. We are defined by things we fear. But fear is in the mind. Like pain it can be controlled. If I can face my fear it cannot master me.... I am free because you [humans] fear it."
Unfortunately, I agree completely. I guess we have to find 'rare' exceptions to the general trend and support them and study how they keep the "culture of fear" at-bay, more or less. Oh, I love watching movies too, thanks for the leads. My daughters likewise back in the day, were big fans of "Buffy" and there were some great episodes that were explicitly about fear, but sorry I wouldn't have a clue what they were. I did take notes and quotes a few times. I'll have to find those and post them.
There is plenty of fear around - on the ground in Europe and Middle East, not to mention the institutionalized fear that organizations including (especially?) educational organizations churn out and stew in. My daughters read and watch sci fi - especially from a generation or two past, and it is interesting how often fear dominates the scenarios. Here are a few examples:
Star Trek: Voyager: Season 2: Episode 23: The Thaw

Dear Michael,
Is there a platform where I can find most of your earlier technical papers on Fear and Fearlessness?
