This spontaneous art image, came as an aesthetic rendering from the unconscious meeting conscious; or was it some alien communication? I'll be fearless in iniviting all of what is possible that this image of my painting reveals.

May you or some one could post a few Trekky quotes, my computer doesn't play linked videos right now, it's old and needs to go eventually)... hey, I did find a few quotes from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" tv series... here's just one (from "Nightmares" episode, n.d.)...
Buffy has encountered the Master Vampire (a horrific looking creature) and Master Vampire says to her: "Fear is a wonderful thing. It's the most powerful force in the world, not love, not hate, fear. We are defined by things we fear. But fear is in the mind. Like pain it can be controlled. If I can face my fear it cannot master me.... I am free because you [humans] fear it."
Unfortunately, I agree completely. I guess we have to find 'rare' exceptions to the general trend and support them and study how they keep the "culture of fear" at-bay, more or less. Oh, I love watching movies too, thanks for the leads. My daughters likewise back in the day, were big fans of "Buffy" and there were some great episodes that were explicitly about fear, but sorry I wouldn't have a clue what they were. I did take notes and quotes a few times. I'll have to find those and post them.
There is plenty of fear around - on the ground in Europe and Middle East, not to mention the institutionalized fear that organizations including (especially?) educational organizations churn out and stew in. My daughters read and watch sci fi - especially from a generation or two past, and it is interesting how often fear dominates the scenarios. Here are a few examples:
Star Trek: Voyager: Season 2: Episode 23: The Thaw

Dear Michael,
Is there a platform where I can find most of your earlier technical papers on Fear and Fearlessness?
