This ad I found for a business organization online that promotes "be fearless" in all their materials--an overarching philosophy that is very popular marketing strategy today and has been for at least a decade. I have been critical of this popularization for many reasons, not only that this particular symbol shown here from the website of this company/organization is dubious philosophically and theoretically, it is a popular imaginary that dominates today and is superficial to the point of 'silly.' They believe you can cross fear out of the picture and that is equivalent to "fearless"-- it's a simple logical deduction, I suppose, but it is definitely not the way to go, nor is it accurate to any depth of understanding of these phenomenon, in our times. Equally, this is not the 'teaching' of a philosophy of fearism.
