health future(s) and fear(ism)

You might imagine that diving into study "fear" in the largest sense, takes one into all kinds of territories of human existence. Recently, I'm getting down to focus some of my ideas and critiques on DEVELOPMENT & HEALTH and the nature and role of fear(ism) and fearlessness.

I've been re-looking at my long interest in the area of "health" and health policy, health education, etc. The covers of these two old books (1970s-early 80s) from my library give you some indication of my interests and influences many years ago. My current two university research projects (I'll talk about later in a blog) have guided me to think about why I have always been attracted to HEALTH and not just EDUCATION (which ended up taking over my attention for quite awhile, but this is shifting)...

I'm thinking lately about fear(ism) as a social and philosophical determinant of health (equity)... more to come in an up-coming blog...
