This beautiful, tragic film, Bamako, is well worth a watch... it tells of a trial of the African people in a civil law suit against the World Bank, IMF, G-8 institutions... held in a village in Mali ... I was touched by the first speech of the witnesses from the community that was poignant in talking about the fears of the West that continue to infect the Africans to this day... colonialism is not over it has only changed forms-- to predatory capitalism (i.e., globalization)...
