A 'fun' video to watch "Crazy Wisdom- Christie Cashman, from The Life and Times of Choygam Trungpa Rinpoche" ... I have always enjoyed his philosophy and 'wildness' that Buddhism (at least in the West) really needed. As his former student, Christie Cashman, now Acharya, directing the Shambhala Trainings out of Halifax, NS... she said in this interview clip, that she once asked Trungpa why don't you have more students contacting you, and he said (her memory): "I feel that it is because there's fear of students becoming unmasked, exposed." It was one of Trungpa's key teachings of Tibetan Buddhism, wild-crazy style, as Sacred Warriorship, that "people have to find the courage to work with their own self-deception" --it is of utmost importance in Trungpa's spiritual teaching (according to Cashman)...
I so agree. Oh, maybe that's why I have no students either!
p.s. yes, I realize I spelled his name wrong... just to be a little 'wild' too...
