I highly respect the philosophy of liberation spirituality in this great (late) Tibetan Buddhist teacher who came from Tibet during the Chinese invasion to America and died early at age 47, leaving a huge legacy of Shambhala centers of study in the West. I always liked how he had no tolerance for cowardliness on the spiritual path! (of which, his diagnosis of the West primarily was made up of his critique of "spiritual materialism" --that is, ego-individiualism and consumer culture that buys into spirituality as a commodity for self-esteem and status)... that is, for ego-inflation
Barbara and I watched a really good DVD documentary on Trungpa's life and work, called "Crazy Wisdom" (it's on the internet free).
