I made up this art collage from my journal, coloring an image I manipulated digitally of Bayo Akomolafe, the philosopher, poet, activist and educator who writes and thinks from a "black" perspective, and posthumanistic orientation. I am really liking his work of late and his declaration we need to move out of hegemonic "whiteness" (i.e., Anthropocene imaginary) and become into the Afrocene --he's a true Trickster provocateur needed today on the planet where too many people think they already know what the problem is and how to solve it.
His quote in the art image is from "These Wilds Beyond Our Fences" (2017).
