Fear experiencing and its many effects and affects are relatively well documented.
Then there is all the prescriptions given by experts, and/or others as to what we ought to do in regard to our fearing.
Then there are patriarchs (especially) who need to tell others the 'right way' to manage fear and at worst of worst are those who need to shame others into trying to make them change to the way they need them to change. The famous Jordan Peterson (social media superstar, psychologist) has shown in this talk on his JP Channel, that he thinks he can change people fearing by calling them a "coward"; of which, he will re-instill the wounds any of us carry because we have not always been able to be brave when our fearing has overwhelmed our mechanisms and capacities in a particular situation.
JP is one of the many "moralists" on this planet that prey on people's fears to gain power of them--that is, it is their way to be powerful, leaders, teachers, or even despots. They need to traumatize and re-traumatized their 'victims' (followers) by using fear-based tactics, of which shaming is one of the most hurtful because it attacks the core of one's self/being--it is not a superficial guilting attack at a behavior or attitude, no, shaming cuts much deeper into the traumatization of the self. Moralists of the extreme ideologies they have learned and were wounded by tend to want to pass on that same wounding to others--of course, they justify they do it in the name of 'this is for your own good' (paternalism).
I think this (e.g., JP) is highly flawed fear management theory and practice perpetrated en mass using media power which he has achieved, unfortunately!
