I have been long a fan of the great wisdom and psychological teaching in the Wachowski Bros. sci-fi trilogy movies "The Matrix" (and sequels) between 1999-2003. This book on philosophy essays is a great investigation into the deeper themes in the movies. In particular, the writing on fear and death and dilemmas of truth and illusion, make for good study today--in a post-truth world, but also in a "culture of fear" (what I called in my dissertation in 2003, the 'Fear' Matrix).
