[I added in the purple font text to this book cover]
I'm re-reading this 2005 book by Korten, and want to let you all know it has a developmental model (very near, "integral") that is an improvement on the typical holistic models I see in these kinds of future vision books and arguments... and, I can tell you, that it is based on a movement from an immature humanity (fear-based) to a mature humanity (more or less love-based)--and, he is quite explicit about this in the book, but unfortunately misses "fearlessness" as the 'bridge' between those two worlds... besides, the very clear criticism that emerged was to see how the some 15 or so endorsements in the front matter pages, have completely a discourse that is not about a developmental model ... and, so it is exasperating to read once again how this Green (v-meme) thinking/value/worldview of the "holistic" and "earthy" and "peaces" types, misses the point of what integral developmental analysis really is and attunes to in Reality. Oh, well, I'll see what I can do with this book in the future... it has lots of good stuff... and, I'll see if Korten actually knows how to apply his own developmental theory/framework in the book text itself. We'll see if a fear-based worldview is actually operating in the text of the book itself.
