One can make an ineresting study of representations of fearlessness--what images and what imaginary is dominant in a culture--or on the Internet. This is one image (the hard and cold kind) of many. Most frequently one sees the popularized self-heroic images for fearlessness where someone is jumping off a cliff or flying in the air--indicating? (freedom)? or, who knows what to call it. I am personally very critical re: such representations...
