I attended a local 3hr presentation by a clinical social worker in our area, and the efforts being done across the USA (slowly) to identity the devastating impacts of trauma (especially in children and youth when the brain is still growing/developing)... that is, the effects of fear (by any other name)--which the clinical people prefer to measure and treat as "adversity" (and, thus label people "at-risk")... I won't get into all that... but it got me thinking of my own model (theory) for 5 Fear Responses... -M.
