I love this quote, a poetic indictment of modernity, industrialism, capitalism... It was published during the last years of WWII in a Fr. underground newspaper "Combat"... this is the great philosopher-poet finding just the right words for the times, for history, in the West. What do educators think of this? How should education respond?
