This is the actual 2002 art installation, a take off on the artist Judy Chicago's "Dinner Table" -- lots of metaphors in this work... and again, it took 73 of these "plates" (squares, which were collages) to "perform" some of what I thought people were consuming from the culture of fear in the post-9/11 era... the close up photo of a few plates (dinner settings) has references to the scientific phobias on the card placement, and red and blue pill features from The Wachowski's Bros. "The Matrix" film (which ended up being a major formative inspiration for my dissertation itself--that is, a screen play)... the dissertation title: FEARLESS LEADERSHIP IN AND OUT OF THE 'FEAR' MATRIX.
