School holidays. I stumbled upon The Alchemist (book). The last time I read it, I must have been around 19 years old. So I gave it another go. And I found those few chosen sentences from the book quite moving:

- "Most people see the world as a threatening place, and, because they do, the world turns out, indeed, to be a threatening place."
- "People are afraid to pursue their most important dreams because they feel that they don't deserve them or that they will be unable to achieve them. We, their hearts, become fearful just thinking of loved ones who go away forever, or of moments that could have been good but weren't..."
- "Don't give in to your fears. If you do, you won't be able to talk to your heart."
- "There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure."

  • Great find Christina, why don't you post this as a Blog on this site, instead of just as "Status" (where most people will not likely go there to read it)?

    • Yes, I see ... Because I am treating this more of a 'note to self' section ... And also because I haven't realised that I could contribute directly to the blog :-) Apologies.
