League for Fearlessness 1931

During my post-doctoral early years I discovered this organization that once called themselves "The League for Fearlessness: An International Movement To Free The World From Fear." It was probably my best find during those times in that it validated that there had been others in North America who believed we needed to organize a counterhegemonic liberation around the notions of fear and fearlessness. The year the organization joined in New York City was 1931 at the height of the Great Depression.

There is a whole story behind finding this 4 pp folded-up brochure and what I have discovered about it since. I'm going to write a blog this morning that links the impulse (spirit) of this brochure and its founders to my own teaching vision.

The League for Fearlessness is just one of many groups/organizations and forms for what I have since documented and labels the world's Fearlessness Movement (see Wikipedia).
