My collaborative work with Four Arrows (aka Dr. Don Trent Jacobs) has led to us naming Jacobsian conscientization as a way to Indigenize, Fearlessnessize, critique, balance and complement the Western bias of Freire and those who have followed his form of critical pedagogy. We have my new book coming out ("Fearless Engagement") and an chapter on this topic as well in the SAGE International Handbook of Critical Pedagogy in the next year or two.

I realize this diagram is for my use only, but it is for you peeking as well... feel free to ask me about it... eventually it will end up in the book I am writing on him (we are in the book prospectus stage)...

I found this image while doing research on him and his life-work, as he's recently asked me to write his biography... now, that's a dream come true for me. This is one fascinating person (sacred warrior pedagogue)... more on all that later... but to say, he has one of the most amazing theories of fear and fearlessness, and his Indigenous roots (mixed-blood) and scholarship with his adventurous free spirit and his activism, all combine... making for one hell of a biography to come in the next year or two... I'm honored he chose me to write it... If you go back eight photos, you'll see my mind-map of "Jacobs" (that's him)... and my research path of work in Education for the next several years...
