Ettinger, when it comes to figuring out the way--<strong>beyond</strong> the <strong>'Fear' Matrix</strong> (i.e., what she calls the "phallic field" as the "paranoid" (Thanatos or Death Drive) predominant orientation of the psyche in today's culture).</p>

<p>This post-Lacanian artist-psychoanalyst and theorist has had a profound impact on my thinking and Barbara's since 2009 or so. Check out her talk if you want to go deep... into the Feminine (a la Matrixial).</p></div>Matrix Resurrection 4https://FearlessnessMovement.ning.com/photos/matrix-resurrection-42021-12-21T04:01:53.000Z2021-12-21T04:01:53.000ZR.Michael Fisherhttps://FearlessnessMovement.ning.com/members/RMichaelFisher<div><img src="https://storage.ning.com/topology/rest/1.0/file/get/9930539672?profile=RESIZE_400x&width=275"></div><div><p>I'm very excited the Matrix (sci-fi) movie series has its 4th edition (Lana Wachowski, Director) coming out this Dec. 22, 2021</p>
<p>and I will be looking closely for how it deals with "fear"--as the original trilogy (1999-2003 The Wachowski Bros.) had fascinating things demonstrated as wise teachings on fear and fearlessness.</p>
<p>My 2009 paper is available to upload on The Matrix and "unplugging" etc. <a href="https://prism.ucalgary.ca/handle/1880/109998%C2%A0">https://prism.ucalgary.ca/handle/1880/109998 </a></p></div>Matrix Philosophy: Fear, Death and...https://FearlessnessMovement.ning.com/photos/matrix-philosoph2020-05-20T18:03:54.000Z2020-05-20T18:03:54.000ZR.Michael Fisherhttps://FearlessnessMovement.ning.com/members/RMichaelFisher<div><img src="https://storage.ning.com/topology/rest/1.0/file/get/5200089697?profile=RESIZE_400x&width=400"></div><div><p>I have been long a fan of the great wisdom and psychological teaching in the Wachowski Bros. sci-fi trilogy movies "The Matrix" (and sequels) between 1999-2003. This book on philosophy essays is a great investigation into the deeper themes in the movies. In particular, the writing on fear and death and dilemmas of truth and illusion, make for good study today--in a post-truth world, but also in a "culture of fear" (what I called in my dissertation in 2003, the 'Fear' Matrix). </p></div>fearlessess psychology plushttps://FearlessnessMovement.ning.com/photos/fearlessess-psychology2019-10-26T15:27:56.000Z2019-10-26T15:27:56.000ZR.Michael Fisherhttps://FearlessnessMovement.ning.com/members/RMichaelFisher<div><img src="https://storage.ning.com/topology/rest/1.0/file/get/3681294395?profile=RESIZE_400x&width=400"></div><div><p>Here's my latest 21st century revisionist curriculum map I believe we need on this planet... </p></div>Matrix film and Ettingerhttps://FearlessnessMovement.ning.com/photos/matrix-film-and-ettinger2018-07-23T04:16:57.000Z2018-07-23T04:16:57.000ZR.Michael Fisherhttps://FearlessnessMovement.ning.com/members/RMichaelFisher<div><img src="https://storage.ning.com/topology/rest/1.0/file/get/125786121?profile=RESIZE_400x&width=400"></div><div><p>Barbara just found this for me, and passed it on. It is rather profound and uncanny that some 4 years ago on of my favorite psychoanalytical-artistic theorists (and practitioners) Bracha L. Ettinger was talking about her influences re: "matrixial theory" on the making of The Matrix sci-fi trilogy (1999-2003)--as, I myself did a dissertation using The Matrix meta-narrative to construct a visionary experience (through a play movie script) of the 'Fear' Matrix (aka "culture of fear")... in my dissertation I took on bringing out the "feminine" and re-constructed quite a different approach to The Matrix (and this was before the discovery of Ettinger's work on the feminine transubjective)... anyways, I'm looking forward to trying to find this discussion, and would love to see what Ettinger says about this film, and/or if in fact her work influenced The Wachowski's who wrote and made the film (albeit, there is controversy that they stole the plot from another writer)...</p>

I titled it: "Fearless Leadership In and Out of the 'Fear' Matrix." It actually is all available free as a pdf download online.</p>
<p>I was into my first playing with powerpoint technology and manipulating images (although, the color version is much nicer)--but, I like the wild and dirty flavor of this aesthetic and how it is reflective, in a conscious way, with the 'Fear' Matrix and our being able to move in and out of it (IT)... whatever it (IT) really is (?)</p>
<p>This dissertation came from years and years of thinking critically about the nature and role of fear (and 'fear') and the future... and, asks us to consider what "Fearless Leadership" is required to engage and negotiate and battle within this context ('Fear' Matrix dynamic and ecology).... also, called a "culture of fear" and now, perhaps an "ecology of fear" (i.e., 'fear')...</p>

I wonder what his soul-spirit is 'picking up' and if he'll resist the 'Fear' Matrix as he gets older or will give-in... then, what kind of relationship will we be able to have? </p>
