I've always loved Annie Lennox's art/music... this cover from one of her older CDs is something that interested me this morning and made me think of the "performance" of this image of a white person painting themselves whiter... with that facial expression... that angst... terror... below ... of what it has meant for her (and any other white European) to live in a skin color identity that has caused such massive colonial racism over the planet--in the past and still to do this day.
