HATE FEAR SIGN

Under the violence/fear/terror growing in America (especially)... post-2016 election.... I am seeing signs on people's lawns with this logo; it was created by a desire for "safe places" and inclusive communities everywhere; a positive messaging, good-neighbors approach... and, although I applaud the inner school children and neighborhood in Chicago that made this project, it has a "negative" message... which is, don't make places unsafe... and that has a lot of problems for living in the world with diversity... it won't undermine conflict effectively until we deal with the Fear Problem and a message of building cultures of fearlessness... I looked at their website and so no discourse on fear and how to better educate about fear itself... no, their simple strategy is to educate each other about their differences, as in if you know your neighbor you will not treat them badly... fine, to a point... but... their treating symptoms not the source...
